Southwest Wildlife Advisory Group - Quality Consulting on Natural Resource Issues

Southwest Wildlife Advisory Group is a consortium of wildlife experts who have gained experience in all areas of wildlife management in the American Southwest and Latin America

Company Mission Statement:
Southwest Wildlife Advisory Group (SWAG) is dedicated to assisting clients in advancing natural resource conservation by providing the highest quality data and advise on a broad array of contemporary conservation issues.

Staffing Approach:
Recognizing the amazingly diverse need for scientifically-sound advise on a multitude of natural resource issues; SWAG maintains a small core of scientists with very diverse abilities; however, even these key staff are unable to meet all the client demands in an the ever more complex arena of resource conservation.  Therefore, we have contacts with additonal scientists from academia and agencies for specific projects.  This allows having highly qualified staff for any and all natural resource conservation issues.  Adjunct associates have expertise in Geographical Information Systems, native and sportfisheries, habitat restoration approaches, and resource-oriented conflict resolution.

Areas of Expertise Include:
  • Review and analysis of environmental documents such as National Environmental Policy Act Environmental Impact Statements or Environmental Assessments
  • Assessment of project impacts on wildlife populations and wildlife habitat.  This includes preparation of compliance documents
  • Developing successful conflict resolution approaches to the management of natural resources
  • Preparation of proposals to secure funding needed to implement a broad array of natural resource conservation strategies.
  • Design and implementation of field projects to collect relevent data to advance natural resource conservation and to resolve conflicts in management approach in natural resource conservation.
  • Review and evaluation of current wildlife conservation programs administered by natural resource agencies.
  • Design, collection, and analyses of data needed for the successful completion of NEPA/ESA or other federal and state environmental laws.
